I'd like to go to Wimbledon

At any given time if the weather permits, you can find my little girl and I at the tennis courts. She has become a quite addicted to playing. Although she is only 7, she is at the stage where she is starting to want to compete more often. And tennis is a great way for her to do that.

I have always been a big fan of tennis, and Wimbledon is one of the places I have always wanted to go. Living here in the U.S that is going to take a lot of planning. But it would be a great vacation for my daughter and myself. Besides, she is named after one of England's favorites, Princess Diana.

Why Wimbledon? Because it is the only tournament that is still played on grass and is the oldest of all the major championships in tennis. And being Wimbledon is in London, it would give me a chance to visit a place that I have always wanted to visit. And sitting in the grand stands would be so much better than watching on TV.

When ever I decide to get my Wimbledon tennis tickets I am going to make sure I visit NO. 2 court. That is the where all of the top seeds end up being upset and sent home early. It has been nicknamed the Graveyard of Champions. That is what makes Wimbledon so special, you never know what is going to happen. Just like Venus Williams winning last year as a 23 seed.

If you are planning on going to Wimbledon this year or maybe the next, look around, you just might see me there. And if my little girl keeps playing and practicing, maybe she will be playing there one day.

Can anyone explain?

Does any of you out there know anything about a robot file? If so I would like for your help with something. Seems that my other blog got left out of the page ranking update this time. So I decided to go to Google Webmasters Tools and see what the problem was. For some reason, Google bot was blocked from the site. I checked all of my settings in my profile and everything was the was it was suppose to be. I am not that savvy when it comes to IT things but I do have a little common sense. Using the blogger platform the only control you have when it comes to the upper level programming of your site is by either clicking yes or no on the settings page. All of the yes and no questions where correct.

I ran a couple of more diagnostic programs and found out that there was a robot file that was blocking post that had a certain label on them. How this came about I have no idea. So I went in and deleted all of the labels, Google bot was still blocked. After about a hour of with a headache I finally decided to look at the post that had the label that was blocked. I went in a removed the formatting on a post that was a copy and paste post from a contest. After doing this I re-checked to see if Google bot was still blocked. This cleared up the problem and it is now allowed. Although I will probably have to wait 2 more months to get a page rank, at least I have the problem solved for now. If anyone can enlighten me on the subject please feel free to let me know. Thanks

11 year old dies as parents watch.

An 11 year old little girl died of untreated diabetes, while her parents prayed instead of taking her to a doctor.

I have no idea what Bible these people were reading, but they are not reading the same one that I read. No where in the Bible does God tell anyone to act like a moron and let a child die. This child could have easily been treated by a doctor and not had to suffer the death that she did. But her parents chose not to get medical attention. And only called 911 after the girl stopped breathing.

People are hiding behind their made up religious beliefs more and more everyday. And stupid things continue to happen. I believe that someone has dropped some psycho gas on some of these people. Because they seem to invent some far fetched story as to why they let someone die or why they mistreated or raped a child.

I have a child of my own, and if the slightest thing goes wrong with her I want to know what it is. That is the way I think all parents should be. And for the ones that do stupid things like these parents did. Cruel and unusual punishment would be justified.

What a Wierdo

Australian Police have reason to believe that a father held his daughter captive for 24 years and fathered 6 children of hers according to CNN.

I thought all the stupid people lived here in America, I guess I was wrong. I do not even ask myself why people do this any more. But it seems that someone would have had since enough to figure this out long ago, instead of 24 years later. And the guys wife that lived in the house claimed she did not know anything either. I am not living in a house for 5 minutes without knowing what is in the basement or anywhere else in the house. How can someone live there for 24 years and his wife not know it?

Alert!!!!!! Anyone living in a big house with a basement needs to check for hidden families. You never know what you might find living below you.

Change of Domain

I have spent the last few days changing all of the urls that point towards this page. I am still using the blogger host but I have changed the domain to my own. Getting my own domain was fairly simple and really cheap. I got it from go daddy and only spent 10 bucks doing it. Transferring the domain name in blogger was really simple also. But changing the url in all of the programs that I am a member of was another story though. Eventually I am going to switch to my on host and start using word press. But I am a dummy when it comes to the word press platform. So I took the advice of a friend and opened a free account at word press to try and get familiar with there program.

The Government has started sending out checks for the stimulus package. What a real waste of time. With the cost of gas reaching 4 bucks a gallon, some will be lucky to get a couple of tanks of gas with their check. But the oil companies should profit. The Government is basically giving us money to give to them to make more profits.

Can we stop the price of gas from sky rocketing? Sure, all we have to do is stop buying it or stop buying as much. Let all of these investors keep shoving money into it just to find that we stand our ground and stop making them rich. After they start losing money it will teach them a lesson. But that means that we will have to sacrifice some of our daily pleasures for a while. But would it be worth it, in the long run yes.

It seems that all of the politicians have a answer for everything that is going on in the world except for gas prices. The media only knows how to report the price of gas. They need to start talking about what they are going to do about it. I myself though about buying me a donkey to ride around town, but with the price of corn going up I would not be able to afford to feed that either.

Got My own Domain Name

For the past couple months I have been thinking about getting my own domain name. Well I finally went ahead and did that. I am now the proud owner of dwaynereaves.com . Now as far as my hosting and things like that, I have not figured out all of that yet. But at least I have the first step taken care of.

By doing this means that I have to re- submit all my listings in directories, affiliate links, and all my other forums and organizations that I belong to. WOW that is going to be a lot of fun.
Until I get a chance, and know that I will have time to do all of that, I am still going to use this domain. This week has already been busy enough as it is.

If any of you have any tips on how I can do this in a smooth and less time consuming method, please feel free to let me know.

Go Danica!

History was made this weekend in motor sports. I am sure many of you know who Danica Patrick is. This weekend she won her first Indy Car Race. That is a great accomplishment whether you are male or female, but giving the history of the sport, it makes it even greater. A lot of people have raced in professional races and never got the chance to go to victory lane. But finally after 50 starts Danica got her first win.

Maybe one day she will take the next step and move over to Nascar. That would be interesting to see how she would run in their races. I think she would do fairly well.

Dwayne's Word

It looks like it has been a couple of days since I made a post on this blog. Wow how time can fly by. That is not good when you want to keep readers and increase traffic.

Last night I spent a good bit of time chatting instead of blogging. I had all intentions on making a post then. But the chat was just fine, and besides I think I help clear someone's thoughts a little bit.

No matter how you look at things, life is the hardest thing you ever have to do. Sometimes the hard part comes all at once, and for others it may be hard all the way through. But everyone is going to have to struggle at some point. There is no getting away with it. These are the times that you really have to take a look inside of yourself and make yourself move forward. For some it may be something small, for others it may be a loss of a family member, or financial struggles. Whatever it may be, you can over come these obstacles.

I talk to people all the time that worry about things that have happen in the past. There for a year or so, I was the same way. But worrying about the past, is only wasting away the future. You cannot change the past, it is that simple. And when you waste your energy on what happen yesterday, you feel like you have no strength to face tomorrow, but you can change that.
The first thing that you have to do, it to learn to like yourself again.

If you do not like yourself, trust me, no one else will either. And your negativity about you will transfer to others. But if you feel good about who you are, others will feel the same way. It does not matter if you have made mistakes or could have done thing differently. What matters is what you do with today, tomorrow and the rest of your life. Yes, sometimes you are able to make amends for things done in the past. And if at all possible, it is the best things to do. But if you cannot, do not focus on that and let the future be ignored.

Someone once said " It is not whats inside that defines a person, it is what you do with it" And that is up to the individual to do. No one else can define you but yourself. Whether you choose to do so is up to you though. But understand you cannot do it all in one day. When you look up a definition in the dictionary, it starts with one letter. Then you have other letters that follow to make a word. Those words end up making sentences and the sentences complete the definition. And while you are defining yourself in life, you will have mistakes. When you come upon them, do not just stop and not move forward. Do what you can to correct it, and continue on.

There may be words in my definition that some may not understand. But when the sentences are complete and the book is closed; it shall be a masterpiece. And yours can be also.

Seems that everyone on the web is talking about twitter and how fast it is growing. So today I took the time to sign up. I do not know how this is going to work but I am going to give it a try. The cost of raping a child

Rape a child pay with your life. What do you think? I have my opinion. And it sort of goes along with what the Louisiana Government thinks.

This story reminds me of one of my favorite books and movies "A time to kill". How can someone hurt a child? That is something that you would think would never happen. But I guess there are some really sick people around. Giving the death penalty for this can be tricky though. Children are sometimes not reliable in their stories. If someone were to hurt the child and tell them that they would harm their parents if they told, the child might be persuaded to not tell the truth. And there have also been cases where children's parents accuse someone of things just to get back at them.

But if there is DNA evidence that someone did something like this to a child. No doubt that the death penalty is worthy sentence. Aborting someones life for a crime like this is really not that big of a deal. People abort unborn children everyday and it is perfectly legal.

There are a lot of opponents to the death penalty. I completely understand that. Some people are just to weak to enforce punishment on others. That is why it is important to have people that are strong in their beliefs and to stand up for justice. You cannot just let people get away with things like this.

Maybe one day we will live in a society where there is no crime and no punishment is needed. But until then, we have to set a example for others to live by. On Wednesday the Supreme Court will take up this issue. I am interested in hearing their say on this.

Food Prices, Gas prices, what's next?

This is a interesting article on CNN. It is talking about how riots are taking place around the world because of food prices. This is the first I have heard anyone talk about this, so I guess they are just noticing it. Most likely because the government officials here are too busy pointing their fingers at each other so I guess they forgot to check on things.

Food
Food prices along with everything else has sky rocketed over the past couple of years. But is only seems to affect the poor people. Which is about 75 percent of the world or more. So it easy to ignore these things as long as you have food on your table and gas in your vehicle. But when is it going to stop? Most analyst say that there is no end in sight. But somewhere along the line it has to be.

Fuel
That is the number one reason for all of the economic problems in this country. The high cost of fuel has driven up the cost of everything, from food to construction materials. And has a big impact on the reason the housing market crumbled. The reason is, you have to have fuel to do anything these days. You cannot get to the market to buy the high priced foods, without spending outrageous amounts of money on gasoline. But you have to do what you have to do.

Profits
Although the cost of food has risen in some places almost 100%, I do not hear of farmers making record breaking profits like the oil and gas companies. Because they are not. They have a high cost in fuel themselves. I do not hear of grocery store chains making huge profits either. Their cost of shipping is taking away their profits. But yet these big oil companies are living the high life right now.

The Election
Who is going to be president? You have three people still in the running for president here in the US and all three say they are going to do something about this. Oh really!!! What have you been doing in the past while you were suppose to be representing the American people? Nothing, except worry about what the other party is doing. No matter who comes up with a proposal, Republicans or Democrats I guarantee you that the other party is going to bash it. Does not matter if it will work or not. Congress is about Congress, not the American people and not the people of the world.

The Result
No matter what the results may be in the future, people are going to starve. More people are going to lose their homes. Children are going to continue to suffer. And the price of gas is not going to change. That is the way things are. The only way that we are going to change the results, is for the government to stop arguing with each other,and start working together. I really hope that this will happen. And I hope that the news media will start focusing more on why congress does not work together and try to fix these things, instead of reporting what one has to say about the other. Because I really do not care what either one of them think of the other, as long as things start getting done in this country.

More Rambling

What is it with guys that put photo's of girls as their avatar or advert logo? Do they really think that they can become more popular pretending to be some one that they are not? I have noticed this a lot lately. Now I will admit that when I see a avatar with a girls picture on it I will most likely click it. Being a male that is natural"I think". But after going to their page and finding out it is just some money hungry old man that is pretending or having a fantasy about being a girl, I can assure you that it will be the last visit.

Why can't people just be who they are? Trust me, if you do not like yourself, no one else is going to like you either. And hiding behind a photo of a female is not going to help at all. Take some of the big time bloggers out there, for instance John Chow, Shoemoney, Darren Rowse. They did not get to where they are because of their good looks, because there is a lot lacking in that category. But they did not hide behind a photo of someone else either. They did what they did by working hard and trying not to mislead anyone.

There was a advert floating around on entrecard users pages this week with a Big Z. I would show it on here but I am not going to give them the satisfaction. They created it to make it look like a entrecard to swindle people into clicking it. I have to admit they got me once, but that was the last time. But I think that the people that allowed it on their page is just as guilty as the ones that created it. People like this will be around for a couple of months then they just fade away. Because most people do not like having things forced on them.

Let every penny that you make be a confidence builder. And do something everyday to increase your readers. If you do it a little at a time then things will eventually add up.

Just me Rambling

I just received my first 20 dollar payment from payperpost, nice. Now I need to make a lot more. Making money online is not hard to do if everything goes the way that you plan. The problem with me sometimes is, I do not plan like I should. But that is changing for the better. And by doing some of the things that I have wanted to try, my blog is getting more visitors. Although my subscriber list is staying the same.

In the future I want to work on getting more and more readers to join my blog. So I am going to be commenting on more blogs and socializing more in forums. All of the "A list" experts say that this will work, so I am giving it a try. Maybe I can get a article written about me in the USA Today. I bet that would bring me some readers.

My total income for this blog during the month of march was not what I expected it to be. It was actually more. I had hoped to make at least 50 dollars, I did that and more. In the month of April I want to double that amount. If I can do that, then my long term goals will not seem that impossible.

Conversations with a 7 year old

No matter what time a day or year it is, a child can always ask you a question to throw you off guard. Seems my 7 year old wants to be a mermaid. Now she knows that there is no such a thing, but she is really working me trying to get me to explain it to her. I sort of put my foot in my mouth a couple of weeks ago when we seen a falling star. I told her to make a wish and it would come true.
Needless to say that she has seen a hundred falling stars, even though it has rained here for a week. And everytime she sees on she wishes for something that is out of this world. First she wanted to be a wizard so she could make things disappear, then it was a Super Hero with super powers, then she wanted for her mom and I to get back together, which is not happening. And now she wants to be a mermaid.

So after hearing questions all day about these things I finally have her satisfied with a answer. I explained to her first that there is no such thing as a mermaid. She wants to be friends with all the animals in the ocean. So I told her we would find a great white somewhere and let her try to make friends with it, she calmly said no thanks and said she changed her mind about the mermaid.

As far as making things disappear, I told her that she could go to work with the government when she got older. They do a great job of taking our money and making it disappear. I also told her that if she kept on doing great in school like she is, everyone would think she was a wizard when she got older. Because she would be smarter than everyone else.

Being the super hero was easy to explain. Heroes are made everyday. I explained to her that although you will not see superman or wonder woman around anywhere, there are millions of heroes that do great things everyday. Some people may not be a hero to me and you, but may be one of the greatest people in the world to someone else. I even told her that she was my hero.

Oh and the wish of her mom and I getting back together, I told her to stick with being the mermaid. And that I am going to move into a pineapple in the bottom of the sea.

Blah Blah Blah, yes the Tarheels lost.

What a bum night tonight was. The Tarheels got their butt kicked in the NCAA semifinal game against Kansas. It would have been nice if the Tarheels had shown up before 15 minutes had already been played. But hey, that is why they play the game.

There are some people that can handle losing, not me. I hate to lose. I hate for my team to lose. People will say there will always be next year, well next year is too far away. I wanted them to win tonight. But I cannot always have it my way.

There is a reason that I am like that. I have always wanted to be the best. And I do not settle for nothing less, unless I am forced. And tonight I am forced to accept that the Tarheels are no longer in the tournament. All I can say is rock,chalk, Jay Hawk go KU.

More stupid people here in America

Authorities have removed dozens of children from a polygamist ranch in Texas. They should remove the idiot adults also and take them to a nice warm correctional or mental institute. The so called leader of these people is already spending time in prison for being and accomplice to rape.

I just don't get it sometimes. There are a lot of good people in America, but I cannot figure out how some people can be such a idiot that they would follow and worship a moron. These kids that they removed had to have a mother and a father. What kind of parenting do they teach at this place? It seems that the parents are too busy with their head stuck up some preachers butt, that they do not care about their own children. Well shame on them.

Maybe they will keep these children out of this place and give them a chance to have a real life. And for the people that are being accused of hurting these kids, send them to Iraq and let them be shot at everyday and bring some of our troops home.

Are you afraid to Blog?

Are you afraid to blog? Are you afraid of the "A" list bloggers? You really shouldn't be. These guys that have these high traffic blogs are no different than the rest of us. They just are not afraid to do things. Sometimes they might make people mad and other times they might help people out. But no matter what it is, they do not hesitate to do it.

A lot of people have great ideas to write about. The problem is, they spend too much time telling them self that they should not write about it. And by doing that, the post never get written. I fear everything, but I am not afraid of anything. And that is the way you have to look at life in general.
But people seem to let that fear that they have stop them from doing things. They always use the phrase "what if". What if this doesn't work, what if they do not like it, what if I do not get any responses. That is not the way to look at things. Try say lets see if this works, lets see if they like it, lets see if I get any responses. If you do that I guarantee you will have better success.

I have spent most of my life either volunteering in the emergency services, and for a short time I worked as a communications officer for a police dept. In that line of work there is always fear in everything that is done. But we are never afraid to do it. We let the fear drive us to success. And you have to do the same when you are online.

I know there are many of you that want to make a living doing what you love. And doing it on the computer can be a great way to accomplish that. And it can be done. So for all of you that have thought about things that you would like to try, whether it be a post, a contest, or something that has nothing to do with computers. Let yourself see how much success you can have at it. Can't never could do anything, and it is alright to fear, but you should never be afraid.

I missed a class somewhere

Text messaging has become the thing these days, I can understand taking shortcuts when trying to type on the phone. But when you have a full keyboard in front of you, I still do not know how they do it. My two nieces are the worst. Wat ya do n, chil n, b der n a min , nut n mch. I have sit here and tried to type by using these abbreviations and no matter what, I have to look at the key board. My brain will not let me do it. If you get a chance try to type using abbreviations like that and see if you can do it. On the cell it works just fine , but on the computer it drives me crazy.
