Fighting over the computer

Today is not going to be a good day for me to do a lot of posting on here. Seems that my little 7 year old is just like her dad when it comes to the computer. She wants to hog it all the time. But that is alright, she is too sweet for me to say no to her.

It amazes me how well she has picked up on the computer though. She has not messed anything up at all. I remember when I first started using a computer about 10 years ago. It seemed that every day I was getting a error alert or just locking the dang thing up completely. I learned a lot by trial and error. At first there was a lot more errors. And I quickly learned how to re-install a program that somehow I would find a way to make it not work.

Do you ever talk to your computer like I do? What do you usually say to it? I think I have come up with some really bad names for mine in the past. I am glad there is not a commandment against swearing at your computer, if so I would have been done gone to hell. My ex was a keyboard destroyer. She would blame the keyboard for her typing errors and literally execute it.
I know she is glad they do not make keyboards that hit back.

Well my time is up, the little one has me on the clock and she has informed me that I have 5 more minutes. So I will talk to you again tomorrow.

Where do you get your gear

I have spent most of my life volunteering or working in Emergency Services. So I know what people mean when they speak of Danner, Surefire, Rocky, and Blackhawk. These are names of the top gear that Emergency Services personnel use. When you are out on a Emergency, the last thing that you want to happen is for your gear to fail. But you just cannot buy this gear anywhere.

At lapolicegear.com you can get anything you need. Whether it's a Surefire flashlight, that never lets you down, or a pair of Danner tactical boots , you can find it at their online store.

Ramblings

You got to give credit to Tyler Hansbrough of the North Carolina Tarheels. Last night is scored 20 of the 39 points the Tarheels scored in the second half himself. He is one of the few players that I have seen, that plays 100 percent the whole time he is on the floor.

Speaking of Carolina, the Dept of Corrections is investigating why the two people that shot and killed Eve Carson was out on the streets to begin with. Both should have been in jail on probation violations. Seems they had a problem stealing from people that worked for what they got. After they were arrested they were charged with shooting a Duke Student in the head also.

Nascar is at Martinsville Speedway this week. Jeff Gordon is on the pole. Dale Jr is starting in the middle of the pack. I still think he will get a top 5 finish and maybe even a win. But Gordon has always been strong at Martinsville so we will have to see.

I made another 20 bucks online this week. Ad sense picked up a little bit also. It still is going to take a while to get to the 100 dollars I need to get paid for it though.

Donald Trump chose Pierce Morgan as the Celebrity Apprentice. He did raise more money than anyone, but I still do not like him. I do not like anyone that talks more than I do.

What did the egg say to the boiling water? It may take me a while to get hard, I just got laid last night.

That is my ramblings for the week, stay tuned for some payperpost reviews, more of my thoughts and anything else that comes up during the week.

Riches to Rags

CNN has finally wrote a story that really matters. The story talks about a lady that went from 70k a year to the food bank in about 2 months. Whether CNN knows it or not this had been happening a lot longer than just recently. Americans have been suffering far longer, and it is not just the housing slump that is causing it. There are homeless children, adults, families. People are getting evicted from their homes, people are starving. But yet, that is not news.

I understand that people are suppose to help themselves. But sometimes people are put in a position where they cannot do anything and their hands are tied. And when they get there, it is pretty hard to get out of that position. Unless they have the help of others.

Recently I read a blog where a person was talking about how blessed they were, and that they was reminded everytime they walk by a homeless person. Later they talked about how much they paid for one cup of coffee. That person did not mean anything by it and for some it may not be a big deal. But it proves my point about our mindset here. We are willing to admit how blessed we are, but are we willing to bless others. How many of you that are self employed would hire a homeless person to work in your business? Or would take five minutes out of your day to try and talk to someone that has a problem, and see if there is anything you can do to help them out?

America is not the only country, there are a lot of counties that are worse than we are. But it is the people that could do things to help others. There is nothing wrong with owning a vineyard, but you should always leave a few grapes in the vineyard for those in need.

Fighting with spouse good for you

CNN has a article about how fighting with your spouse is good for you health. And it can actually make you live longer. I wonder if that works with fighting with you ex also? If so I am in for a long long life.

The story has a good point, but here in North Carolina you need to watch yourself. Women here will get physical. And that can lead to a lot of bruises. So forget about eating healthy and exercising, just go home and pick a fight.

Should you hire a Title Company

A few friends of mine sold their fathers house after he passed. Two months later they was issued a lawsuit. Seems that although the house was legally theirs to sell, there was another title to the house. Although they won their differences in court, they could have prevented this if they had hired a Title Company to search for other records on the property. NEARBYTITLE.COM can help you Find a Title Company Near Your Home. So before you sign you final documents, make sure you know every thing there is to know about your title.

A Rod and Steroids?

The word is spreading around that Alex Rodriquez will be implicated in Jose Canseco's new book "Vindicated: Big names, Big liars, And the battle to save Baseball" According to ESPN, a copy of the book has been obtained by freelance writer Joe Lavin.

Lavin says that according to the book,Canseco introduced A Rod to a steroids dealer. He also says that Rodriquez was pursuing Canseco's wife also.

Looks like the best thing that baseball can do is make steroids legal. Because it seems that there are more players doing steroids than players not doing them. Canseco has not been wrong yet in his implications of steroids. He seems to be speaking the truth. Although there will be many to stand up for A rod, including a lot of news media. You still have to look at Canseco's record. In my opinion, there are a lot more out there that have not been implicated. But I am sure that the news media will take care of that. After the election the will have nothing else to talk about anyway.

Ramblings

I found a interesting story on one of my local pages about Prince Harry. As most of you know he was serving in Afghanistan with his troops before some idiot reporter decided to announce it to the whole world. Back to what I was saying, this story tells about one of the operations that Harry was involved in and gives a little insight as to what he did.

Tiger Woods lost for the first time in 6 months. It only shows that he is human. But with the way that he has been winning, do not be surprised if he does not win 6 in a row again.

I like the title to this article. "Survey: Gas prices skyrocket to all time high"Like anyone really needed a survey to find that out. But that is the news media for you.

Dropping entrecards can be addictive I think. The only fall back that I have found is everyone seems to write on the same subject, make money online. Which is a good subject, but guys come on. At least throw a joke or a picture of some food on your page.

As I said in one of my earlier post, I signed up for payperpost. During the past three weeks I have made a total of 30 bucks from them. WOW so far that is not very impressive. But I will keep you up to date if that happens to increase.

Digg

I created me an account with Digg. I have never used it before but seeing that everyone else is I figured I would try it. I am not to familiar with social networking but it seems that a lot of people are getting traffic from them. So I am going on a social networking hunt and see how it works. I will keep you up to date on my progress

Happy Easter!

Today we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. A day when sin was defeated and victory was won. There are many people that do not believe in this holiday or others that we celebrate. But there are many more that do believe.

The passion that Christ showed us is something that we all should be thankful for. And the strength that he gives us to go day to day is a strength that cannot be defeated.

So today, I want to say thanks to him for loving the people of this world enough to die for them. There has been so much talk about racism here in America the past few days. But everyone should realize that the blood Christ shed for us was Red, the same as every human on the face of the earth. We are all the same in the eyes of God. For we are all made in his likeness. God bless you and Happy Easter.

Floods Reach Durham NC

There is a lot of flooding in the Durham NC area today. Not from any rain, the sun is shining and it is 70 degrees outside,it is from the Blue Devils fans crying. The Duke Blue devils found out that they really cannot play basketball today. Losing to 7 seed West Virginia. I have tried to call many of my friends that pull for the devils, but seems that their phone service is not working. They always have next year though. Meanwhile they can pull for the Tarheels if they would like. Go Heels!!!!!!!!

Making money online

Making money online can be one of the craziest things you ever try. Or, it can be one of the most productive things you will ever try. As you know, you are not going to start making five thousand a day when you first start your blog. You are also not going to get a lot of readers right off the bat. But with time and patience you can establish a good blog.

In search of your online earnings you must understand that in order to make money, you have to draw traffic from sources other than, other make money online blogs. There are not many people that are trying to make money online, that is willing to spend money online. The people that are willing to spend money online, do not need to make money online because they are making it somewhere else. So it would be wise to attract that audience whenever possible.

Now do not get me wrong, there are many make money online blogs that are making tons of money. But they are using different resources to make that income. And it is up to you to do the same thing. Do not base your income on one source. Google adsense will most likely not pay your bills alone.

Find one subject that you can talk about and talk about it passionately. There are a lot of people that become popular just by talking about their everyday lives. Others get popular by talking about other people's lives. Whatever it is that drives you, let it be to your advantage.

Whatever you do, do not give up. There is no way that you will ever accomplish anything if you quit. Learn from your mistakes and try not to keep doing something that does not work. Keep trying different things. Even if you think it's a stupid idea, try it anyway. A lot of stupid ideas have made a whole lot of money.

A new meaning to Wireless

For those that have not heard, there is a new wireless company that is giving you wireless internet service for free. That is right, Free. The only problem is this is the kind of wireless that does not work. The organization of "thieves" here in North Carolina is making a lot of customers unhappy by stealing the wires that carry internet and phone services. They go to low traffic areas and literally rip the wires off off the poles and take them and sell them for scrap medal. There is a lot of profit in this also. Being that copper( what is inside the wire) sells for over $3 a pound, it is a easy way to make a few hundred bucks really quick. Leaving quite a few customers with wireless service they did not want or pay for.

Luckily, this has not happen to me yet. But if you wake up one morning and do not have internet service, walk outside and see if you are wireless before you call you internet service provider.

Divorce Party?

There is a interesting story on CNN about the rise of divorce parties. This sounds like something that my Ex and her sister would do. I have not had mine yet. I have the divorce, but the party has not started yet. But when it does everyone in the blogosphere will be invited. It says in the article that the party is needed to celebrate a new start in life. Excuse me, but marraige is suppose to be for life. That is the way I seen it when I got married. I can pretty much guarentee you that the parties are for the people that caused the divorce.

Speaking of starting a new life. I am not starting a new one. I am going to live my life like I always have. There for a while (over a year) I kept blaming myself and wondering what I could have done differently to prevent it. How stupid I was over the past year and a half.

I will keep you updated about the party.

Other top seed in the NCAA Tournament are Memphis, UCLA, Kansas. Duke ended up a #2 seed in the West. The Duke fans did a lot of crying this weekend. Mainly because they was hoping to get another shot at the Tarheels in the ACC Tournament. But they lost to Clemson on Saturday leaving the Tarheels to play Clemson and win the ACC Tournament also.

Who is your favorite team in the NCAA Tournament? Leave me a message and talk it up.

Some of my favorites

Being that this is a new blog. I would like to take the time to let a few of you know who my favorites have been in life. So lets start when I was young. As a kid I remember these people as the ones that I admired.
  1. Chuck Connors ( The Rifleman)
  2. Lassie
  3. One Adam 12
  4. The Lone Ranger
As I got older and in my teenage years I remember sports figures more than anything else. Here are a few of my all time favorite sports hero's
  1. Johnny Bench
  2. Michael Jordan
  3. Jose Canseco
  4. Pete Rose
  5. Enos Slaughter( He was a retired MLB Hall of Famer but I knew him and had a many great conversations with him)
  6. Roger Staubach
Racing has always been one of my favorite sports to watch so I have to list my favorite race car drivers
  1. Dale Earnhardt
  2. Dale Jr
  3. Bill Elliot
My favorite President was Ronald Reagan, my favorite model is Cindy Crawford, my favorite movie star is Demi Moore, my favorite singer is Jon Bon Jovi. My favorite book is the bible and my favorite food is stuffed green peppers.

The person I would most like to be is me. But I would not mind having as much money as Bill Gates.

And the person that inspires me the most and the one that my life is based around is my daughter Diana. She was named after a Princess because she is a little princess.

A Lesson Learned

This evening my little girl wanted to go shopping for a pair of shoes. Since my ex and I split her mom has usually taken her to get clothes and things. I was hungry but she decided that it would be better to get the shoes first. I figured it would not take that long anyway, besides how long does it take to buy a pair shoes. Well I was so so wrong. Let me say that she is nothing like her mom when she is shopping for something. Her mom would go and get what she was looking for and get out of there. Not my little girl. Tonight she was acting like her Grandmother, my mother.

She tried on every shoe in one store and could not find anything that she liked. Let me rephrase that; she could not find anything that I was willing to buy. The purpose was to buy her some tennis shoes because according to her she has not had any new ones since she was 5. She seemed to forget the three pair that she has gotten since she has been 7. She found 3 pair high heels and a pair of I have no idea what you call them, in the second store that she had to have. And she had a reason behind the need for each pair. Finally she found a pair of crocks. Well that is what she calls them. I am not familiar with names of shoes. So we both decided that they would be something that she really needs. How do you tell a 7 year old little girl she does not need high heels? So we are both happy, I pay for the shoes and we decide to go get some food.

My little angel is the sweetest thing in the world. But the next time she decides she needs some shoes. I am going to make sure I eat BEFORE I go shopping with her. Young or old, females seem to love shoes more than anything else, even eating.

Mortgage Problems?

Work in the construction industry has picked up a little for me lately. Mainly because a friend has been buying and reselling foreclosures. But these people did not have to go through with the foreclosure. There are many Mortgage Companies that can help in these situations. Home mortgage refinance can help people with their financial problems, as well as people that are looking for their first Home Mortgage loan. So don't give up on your Real Estate and let the market downfall take away your dream. Let the financial professionals at home mortgage refinance give you another chance.

Things happening

The ACC tournament has started and time for a weekend of Basketball. The Tarheels are the number one seed in the tourney and I hope that they can win again this year.

Both suspects have been arrested in the Shooting of Eve Carson. The UNC student president that was killed last week. But according to local news stations they most likely end up being supported by us for life instead of getting the death penalty.

The Governor of New York has been naughty. He has been hiring call girls. Just think of how many high class officials that have not been caught. That is the scary thought.

Nascar is going short tracking this weekend. Bristol is the next stop and let me go ahead and predict the winner, Dale Earnhardt Jr. And maybe Goodyear will send Tony Stewart a good set of tires. He really did not like having to drive his car last week.

I added another post to my other blog { Pro Blog Reviews} give it a visit and leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

I have made around $50 this week between the two of them. Not bad as a start, but need to make more in my quest to make money online and be a successful internet entrepreneur. So if you would like to help my cause you can leave me a donation.

That is all for today. If you have not subscribed to my feed, please do so. Thanks.

UNC shooting suspect arrested

The Durham Police apprehended one of the suspects in the shooting death of Eve Carson, UNC Student Body President. The other suspect is still on the run but has been identified.

Needless to say both of these men has a prior criminal record. Larceny and burglary charges, resisting arrest, breaking and entering. Yet those crimes are not real crimes and do not deserve punishment. So they were left on the streets to continue in their career as a criminal. And when the question is brought up why people get off the hook so easy for crimes? The answer is always, "we do not have room to put them" Well dog gone it build more prisons. I sit here every day and read about how much money the Presidential candidates are raising so that they can run for office. Well take up donations to build prisons and I guarantee that you will raise twice as much.

The government is completely backwards from what it should be. They take our tax money and loan it to the mortgage industry, they pay to rebuild Iraq when Iraq probably has more money than we do due to the price of Oil. They are paying Lawyers to keep these criminals out of jail. I could go on and on but I am going to stop there; and yet everyday someone loses their life needlessly to a crack head or gang member that should have been in jail to start off with.

Am I angry, yes I am angry. Not just because of this shooting but because of all of the shootings. I have a daughter myself. And I pray to God everytime that I am not around her that he will keep her safe. It is not the law enforcement that is at fault. They risk their lives everyday for minimum wages to protect us. Yet the high paid Government and judicial system ties their hands behind their back by letting the low life scum back on the street when they should be locked away somewhere.

UPDATE: The Second suspect was arrested early this morning by the Durham Police.

Destiny

What is destiny? Did you decide, someone else decide, or did things just fall into place?
Destiny
1.something that is to happen or has happened to a particular person or thing; lot or fortune.
2.the predetermined, usually inevitable or irresistible, course of events.
3.the power or agency that determines the course of events.
4.(initial capital letter) this power personified or represented as a goddess.
(Dictionary.com)

Have you ever wondered how you got to the place where you are at? Why things happened, and what if you could undo some of the choices that you made? Did our destiny choose us, or did we choose it? This can be seen different ways. There are choices that I made in life, that I and I alone are responsible for. Although they are always for the good, sometimes they do not work out. So what are you suppose to do when the choices go wrong. You learn, and you try again.

There are also times in life when the choice is not ours. Sometimes other people make choices that greatly affect the outcome of our life. This is even harder to deal with than our own choices. And they can change the choices that we make in the future. Other people may not see the outcome of our lives that we see. They may make choices that we have to learn to accept. They may make choices that change our life entirely.

No matter who made the choices there is always a way to change our destiny. As you can read in the definition above," the power or agency that determines the course of events". This power is within us. Although sometimes we do not realize it, but we have the power to control our destiny. We cannot control whether we live or die sometimes, but we can control what we do while we are alive.

If you want something to happen, make it happen. If you need something, go and get it. Do not let others dictate your life. Use the power that you have within you and be everything that you have wanted to be. Besides, it is your life, and no one else is going to live it for you.

Just Me: Rambling

The North Carolina Tarheels won the regular season championship by defeating the Duke Blue Devils Saturday night in Cameron Indoor Stadium. It was a good game to watch but for as long as I can remember, the rivalry was not the same. For those of you that do not know, Duke and Carolina are only 10 miles apart from each other. Both are outstanding medical schools and many of the students attend classes at both schools. On the basketball court you would not know that.

Earlier in the week the student body president for Carolina was shot and killed. And most likely it was by a crack head looking for a quick dollar to get his fix. These killings have really started to bother me. And it is getting worst every day. So I would like to thank a few of the people who are responsible for some of the violence that is occurring.
  • Lawyers, thanks for getting all of these people off the hook when they get in trouble so that they can be put back on the streets.
  • ACLU, thanks for reminding everyone that criminals that shoot people in the head should be treated like humans, we should feed them, shelter them, babysit them, and never should we do anything to cause them pain.
  • Judges, thanks for just slapping these people on wrist and saying that is wrong. Punishment is suppose to be fun.
  • Doctors, thanks for refusing to administer lethal injection on the basis that it is cruel and unusual punishment. Getting stuck with a needle is so much more painful than being shot with a gun.
  • Lawmakers, thanks for tying the hands of our law enforcement officers and only allowing them to issue citations and not do real police work.
There are many more that I could thank but I am leaving it at that. These people that are getting killed needlessly have families and friends. And times like this is hard on them. I hope that no one else ever has to loose someone to such a needless tragedy. But that will never happen. I just hope that one day America wakes up and takes a look at what is going on inside of this country and stops worrying about what goes on outside of it.

We can defend ourself from outsiders. We have the power to destroy the world if we have to. But if we are not careful, we are going to destroy ourselves.

Make Money? Why I Blog

We all want to be successful in life. All of us want to make money, lots of it. But what are we actually doing to accomplish that? There are many of you out there that have ideas that will never be tested. And there are some of you that are not afraid to try the impossible. What is impossible? Getting Rich? I don't think that is an impossible goal. Look at the creator of Facebook. At 23 years old he is already a Billionaire.

So what are you going to do with your ideas? If you do not try to make them happen they will always be ideas. Take your idea and turn it into a plan. Then take your plan and implement it. And just see where it goes. I created this blog to get readers. The more readers I have the happier I am. I like for people to read what I say and I love to hear comments from them, good or bad.

Can I make money off of this blog? Some people will say no because it is not a money making blog. I say they are wrong. I do not want the sole content of it to be SEO and Make Money Online. I want to be able to express my views on other things also. Take Oprah Winfrey for example, does she talk about the same subject everyday? No. But she has a very large audience that loves to watch her show.

For those of you that have not subscribed to my feed or my email feed I would like to invite you to do so. I am not going to say that I can lead you to financial freedom, or that by reading my blog you will feel better and live longer. If I could do that and be honest, I would. But I promise I will always give my honest opinion, whether it be in a review of a product or in one of my ramblings.

Part of being a Dad

One of the great things about being a dad is you get to do little things that make your child happy. I was sitting here wondering what I was going to write when I asked her if she had any ideas. She is 7 by the way. She told me that I could write about the little mouse we found in our house when she was little. So here it goes.

One day while I was working, my little girl kept hearing a scratching noise coming from the kitchen. She kept asking her mom what in the world was that sound. Her mom did not believe her, but went to the kitchen anyway. When they got to the kitchen my little 3 year old at the time said that the sound was coming from the tray in the bottom of the oven. Her mom opened the oven and out came little mickey mouse. And up on top of the counter went her mom. My little girl was not afraid and laughed and laughed at her mom. Well needless to say I got a phone call to come home. When I did her mom was still on top of the counter. And my little girl still thought it was funny. Well that night I set me a sticky trap. The next morning when I got up I had me a little mickey caught in it. Well after getting the little fellow loose from the sticky trap, my little girl wanted to keep it for a pet. Well that was a no no for her mom.

So what am I suppose to do. Her mom wants it out of there but the little one wants to keep it. Well her mom won that argument, but my little girl wanted to make sure the mouse was put in a safe place where no one would hurt it. So she and I take a trip across the road about 2 hundred yards down in the woods and release the little fellow. I would take her back everyday to see if he was still there, we never seen him again. But I assured her that he was with his family nice and safe. I explained to her that the reason he was in the house was because he had gotten lost from his family, and that by taking him to the woods he was able to find his family again. She was so happy for being able to help the little mouse.

I also want to thank her for giving me such a great idea to write about.

UNC Loses Student Body President

There are times when you wonder what this world is coming to. Then there are times when you wish that you could change it. Early yesterday morning the Chapel Hill Police responded to a report of shots fired. When they arrived they found the body of a young female that had been shot in the head multiple times lying in an intersection. Earlier today they identified the body as that of Eve Carson, the student body President of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. You can read more here at CNN.

Being a parent I can not imagine the grief that her family and friends are going through. My prayers are with them. There is a lot I would like to say about this incident, and others around the country. But for now I will just be silent.

Brett Favre Retires

The news broke today of the retirement of Brett Favre. Although I am not a Green bay Packer fan, I am a Brett Favre Fan. He is one of the great play makers of all time. Although he did things differently than most other quarterbacks, he has been successful in all the right ways. He will definitely be in the Hall of Fame one day, and will definitely be missed on the field by sports fans around the world. Good luck in your retirement Brett. And thanks for never beating the Cowboys.

Last Minute

Do you wait till the last minute to do things? Usually I do not, but this week in class I did. Last week I had the flu and just could not bring myself to doing my assignments. The give them to me on Wednesday and they are due by midnight on the following Tuesday. Well guess what? Today is Tuesday. Yes, what I have been putting off and putting off cannot wait any longer. Luckily, I got a early start this morning doing them. Three have been turned in so far and I only have one left. I can guarantee you that next week assignments will be done before the due date. It is a lot easier waiting to receive an assignment than it is rushing to turn one in.

Did any of you happen to see the College Basketball polls this week? Yes, that is right, the North Carolina Tarheels are once again ranked Number ONE. What better way to start the last week or the regular season than ranked as the number one team in the country.

If they would just get me through with my strategies class and software classes.

Speaking of classes, this week we are discussing critical thinking. This is something that we do everyday and do not realize it. But there are times when we should use it and we don't. One of the topics we had to read was about a man that was driving down the road in his new car. All of the sudden he seen a brick coming towards his car that was being thrown from the side of the road. The brick hit his car and he slammed on brakes, b
